What is an inspire session? These are people, couples, families that inspire me and those around them. They have either been chosen by me at random or nominted to receive a complimentary session. I will be doing these when time permits and when inspiration strikes. Hope you enjoy the stories and perhaps even feel inspired to pay it forward.
Erin is someone I have admired from a far. She is a proud volunteer with the Manitoba Underdogs Rescue (that I am also a part of). To date, Erin and Phil have fostered 18 litters with a grand total of 206 animals. They call they mush lady and basket man. Oh and they have 6 dogs, 2 house cats and 3 horses of their own. To say that they are animal loves would be an understatement.
What I didn't know was what Erin shared with me in her nomination email. Here is a portion:
"As you know, we're usually BOTH behind the lens(or being the backdrop blanky), taking pictures of our foster families or our own "kids". The last time we had any photos taken of us would have been our wedding, 3 years ago tomorrow. We've been a couple for 12 years now, and there are probably 20-30 good photos of us together, total, in existance!
We knew we needed (and wanted) a big property, so we saved our penies to move into an acreage, and opted to have a wedding of 15 guests, finger foods, and a hand altered wedding dress that was my mom's (took me 3 months!). We had Phil's brother take our photos, and he did a great job.
I would love to be able to have some real family photos with all 8 furkids and one grandfur, but more than that (they're featured plenty), I would love to have some special photos of the two of us."
Thank you so much Erin and Phil for all that you do for animals you bring into care. I have seen you first hand with these wee ones and you are amazing. Your entire life revolves around them and it shows. It was a pleasure to spend an afternoon with you on your beautiful property and the kids LOVED the horse rides and time with the puppies.
