Hi, I’m Sunny.
I’m a photographer, mom of three boys, proud Manitoba prairie lover, and unapologetic crazy dog lady.
I’m also the person who notices the little things — the tiny expressions, the quiet moments, the way someone looks at the people (or pets) they love when they think no one is watching. Those are the moments I’m drawn to. The ones that tell your story.
I feel incredibly lucky to do a job I love, but what makes photography even more meaningful to me is using it as a way to give back. For over a decade, I’ve volunteered my time and my camera to causes close to my heart.
For 4 years, I volunteered with NILMDTS (Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep), providing remembrance photography for families experiencing unimaginable loss. Since 2013, I’ve also worked with local dog rescues creating “adoptable” portraits to help dogs in need find their forever families. Since 2017, Manitoba Great Pyrenees Rescue has been my rescue of choice, and throughout the year I host fundraising events. More recently my dogs and I have become ambassadors for the Canadian Animal Blood Bank.
I’m a little quirky, a little detail-obsessed, and my brain works a little differently. Being neurodivergent has shaped the way I see the world — I notice patterns, emotions, and the small details that often go unnoticed. It has also helped me connect with a wide range of people because I understand that everyone experiences the world differently.
Whether we’re creating portraits in my studio, exploring the outdoors, or capturing your family in the comfort of your home, my goal is simple: to create an experience where you feel comfortable being exactly who you are.
Because your story doesn’t need to look like anyone else’s.
It just needs to be yours.
Over the years, I have photographed countless Winnipeg families and babies. My sessions are designed with the clients needs in mind, especially with babies and pets.
If you are looking for a Winnipeg photographer who values experience, creativity, patience and timeless portraits, I'd love to work with you.
