WHEN SHOULD I BOOK NEWBORN PHOTOS?

The ideal time for newborn photography is when baby is 5-14 days old, while they are still sleepy and naturally curled. There are options for newborns 3-8 weeks old to ensure baby's safety and comfort.

To ensure availability, I recommend booking your newborn session during your second or third trimester. Once baby arrives, we will finalize the session date based on your delivery.

My cousin referred me to Sunny after she'd done such a wonderful job with their family portrait to do our newborn swaddle pictures. What if my baby won't sleep?

I have you covered.  15+ years experience has taught me all the tricks. If baby is awake, I will adjust the session so baby is comfortable and calm. I also send a guide sheet before the session with what to expect and prepare bot yourself and baby.

What age is best?

If you prefer the sleepy, curly images, plan to be in studio at 10-14 days old.  Newborn sessions can be done up to two months old with adjustments.

Do I need to bring props?

My studio is fully equipped and stocked with props, backdrops and accessories. If you have a personal item you wish to incorporate, that can be accommodated as well.

Can siblings or pets come?

Absolutely!  I have options available for both.

What should we wear?

I send a guide before the session with detailed recommendations but neutral tones that make you feel comfortable is always best.
