BOOK YOUR FAMILY PORTRAIT SESSIONFamily photography is about preserving connection - the quiet moments, the laughter and the season of life you are in right now. I offer both studio and outdoor family photography in Winnipeg, creating timeless portraits that feel natural, relaxed, and beautifully guided.
Whether you prefer the consistency of studio lighting or the warmth of an outdoor evening session, each family session is designed to feel easy while capturing genuine connection.
A Thoughtful, Guided Approach
Family sessions are gently guided to ensure everyone looks their best while still allowing space for natural interaction. You do not have to worry about stiff posing or fake smiles, I will guide you every step of the way.
My style blends:
- Flattering light

Studio Family Photography in Winnipeg
Studio family sessions are available year-round and take place during daytime hours in a comfortable, controlled environment.
Studio sessions are ideal for families who value:
- Classic, timeless portraits using neutral colors
- Consistent lighting and styling
- Comfort for babies and young children

Studio portraits focus on connection, simplicity, and images that will stand the test of time.
Outdoor Family Photography (Seasonal)
Outdoor family photography is offered seasonally, weather permitting, during Winnipeg's warmer months (or rare days). These sessions are photographed early morning or later evening, when the light is flattering to avoid mid day heat.

FAQs
-
It depends on the look you’re after! Outdoor sessions are available seasonally, with evening sessions offering the most beautiful light. Studio family sessions are available year-round, making them a great option during Winnipeg’s colder months or if you prefer a timeless, distraction-free backdrop. I recommend booking 1–3 months in advance, especially for fall dates, which tend to fill quickly.
-
Don’t worry—I help with that! After booking, you’ll receive my styling guide with tips on choosing colours, coordinating outfits, and avoiding patterns that distract from your family’s connection. Neutral, earthy, and timeless tones photograph beautifully and keep the focus where it belongs: on you.

Absolutely not! Some of my favourite images come from kids simply being themselves. We’ll absolutely capture those beautiful smiling-at-the-camera portraits, but I also leave room for movement, cuddles, laughs, and all those genuine little moments that make your family unique. No child is expected to sit perfectly for an entire session.
-
Most classic family sessions last about 60 minutes. That’s usually the perfect amount of time to create a beautiful variety of images without little ones becoming too tired or overwhelmed. Shorter sessions (mini/essential package) are 15-20 minutes.

I photograph families at some of Winnipeg’s favourite outdoor locations, including St. Vital Park, Henteleff Park and The Forks. Each location offers a different look, and I’m happy to recommend the best one based on the style you’re hoping for. If you have a location in mind, I love exploring new spots.
For more information on my four favorite spots, check out my blog on my top four locations and why.

Manitoba weather likes to keep us guessing! If heavy rain, strong winds, or unsafe conditions are in the forecast, we’ll simply reschedule your session to the next available date at no additional charge.
-
Yes! Dogs are family too. Well-behaved pets are always welcome at outdoor sessions, and many studio sessions can accommodate them as well. Let me know when booking so we can plan accordingly.
-
Yes! I photograph everything from immediate families to multi-generational sessions. Extended family sessions require a little extra planning and time, so be sure to mention the number of people when you inquire.
-
Your online gallery is typically delivered within 1-2 weeks. From there, you’ll be able to select your favourite images, order professional prints, and download your purchased digital files.
-
Life with kids happens! If someone in your family is sick, please let me know as soon as possible. We’ll reschedule your session so everyone can relax, recover, and enjoy the experience without the stress of trying to push through illness.

Anyone can take a photo but an experienced professional photographer knows how to create one you will still love years from now. The small details matter.

Our fall season in Winnipeg is short, but also spectacular. The weather is cooler, the sunset is earlier and the colors pop. There are so many great reasons and you can read more on my blog: Why Winnipeg families love fall photos
